Frentek Automotive and Brake Lining Industry Corporation was established in 1970 with British Mintex licence and technology. It’s a company, which aimed to have a strong place in automotive spare parts industry and to use opportunity to produce high quality friction materials.

Frentek made an agreement with BBA Group Ltd. which was one of the important friction material group in the world; kept on to produce under Mintex Licence until 1984.  Between 1984-1992 the company has gone into a restructuring after the change of ownership and management. The name was also changed to Frentek. Following a very successful 2-years reconstruction period, Frentek gained its market share back and strengthened its position among the first four friction materials producers initssector.
